Entel DT822 ATEX IS IIA Radio

The Entel DT822 is a VHF ATEX II 2G Ex ib IIA T4 Gb two way radio handset that meets the exacting needs where ATEX handsets are required. As an intrinsically safe radio it's not the lowest cost out there, but it offers a very resilient build quality that is developed for the most punishing environments.

The unit features DMR digital communication and many of the very important ATEX standards and other groups that make this one of the 'best in class' devices available anywhere near this price.

The standard that this radio is built on actually goes across a number of Entel models, including this DT822, The DT985 (also ATEX) and the DT953 - again an ATEX standard handset for IS areas.

The DT822HF is created to the IP68 standard that allows the handset to be submersed in water to a depth of 2 metres for up to 4 hours without problem. Basically the IP68 is the highest standard available for this type of product and ensures that the two-way radio will still operate effectively if submersed to that depth (or less) and for that time (or less) without issues.

Like many of the ATEX standard handsets available today, the DT822 ATEX radio is built it military standards as follows: MIL-STD 810/C/D/E/F/G ratings.

As well as the DMR standard the radio handset also is analogue, thus making it compatible with older two-way radios that might be still operational on-sit and there is a software app that allows for simple transfer of settings from one radio to another, thus making programming much simpler that it would other wise be.

This radio is available in PMR466 license free and licenced devices.
