Entel DT953 ATEX two-way radio offers a robust handset in an affordable package and is a license free DMR446 two-way radio.

This whole range from Entel is called the DTEx Series and the DT953 is one of three handsets, each offering slightly different operating specifications. For example the DT822 is a VHF operation, the DT985 is UHF operation and this DT953 as stated is PMR and DMR and can be licensed or license free operation whereas the other two are both licensed radios.

The ATEX standard is adhered to, but slightly different for the DTEx models, but for the DT953 is: ATEX II 2G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb and of course is also submersible waterproof to IP68 standards so its intrinsically safe.

In the DTEx range, most handsets are designed to be very robust, and to operate to a very high standard. For example the battery life on the DT953 is extended to up to 18.5 hours of operation from a single battery when devices are used digitally.

It is possible, through he app used for programming to customise this and the rest of the DTEx series handsets to exacting custom settings and thanks to that programming app the headaches of complex programming are largely removed.
