Entel DT985 ATEX UHF Two-way Radio

Entel DT985 ATEX two-way radio is one of the Entel DTEx IS series two-way radios. It is a powerful robust unit at a price that most companies can easily afford. It's a digital DMR walkie talkie radio.

The DTEx series of 2 way radios comprises of three different handsets that meet various specifications. For example the DT822 is VHF, the DT953 is UHF and this DT985 is also UHF transmission. Being ATEX standards IIC ensures that these radios are all made to exacting specifications and that they are also fully waterproof and submersible. This Entel DT985 is ATEX II 2G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb and IP68 for when being submersed in water up to two metres deep and as long as four hours under water.

Do note that the DT985 can be bought as PMR446 or licensed radio. The specifications change accordingly so do ask us if you're unsure about that.

The battery on the DT985 is a LI-ion type and how Entel use that extends the power usage for up to 18.5 hours! It is possibly twice as long use from a battery than other competitive products.

One of the best features of Entel's DT985 is the audio. Entel have included a super useful audio filter within the unit (in fact its in all the DTEx series) that removes excessive noise levels from the audio and importantly, the audio levels are high for devices like this one at two watts output!

Entel also provide an app that can be used for either copying the setup of other Entel radios to the DT985 (one useful use) or for customising the DT985 ATEX radio so its completely setup for your exact needs, which is a very useful feature too. Programming made simple... at last!

To make a two way radio robust, often makers will create units to military specifications... wireless radios get a hard life, and as ATEX IS standards even a harder life than usual with two way communications. So Entel make this series to: MIL-STD 810/C/D/E/F/G rating and encompassed in that specification is being able to withstand vibration, shock, moisture and dust.
