Entel HT782 UHF  Two Way Radio

The Entel HT782 M is a UHF licensed two way radio that is waterproof and submersible. It is designed for marine use and is built to IP68 standards.

The HT782m and the other models in the HT700 series are developed with specific features that are designed for marine use. And of course its a very robust 2 way radio and built to MIL-STD 810/C/D/E/F specifications which reject knocks, vibration, dust and moisture.

The HT782m is really an entry level UHF unit, but in the range of HT700 series there are other models available if this particular model is not to the specifications you need.

Entel have designed the charging of the battery to be intelligent, and that internal system monitors the battery, number of times charged and much more to ensure that you get maximum use from a full charge that can last as long as around 18 hours.

The battery itself is a Li-ion type  and a 7.4 volt 2000mAh Lithium Ion unit that does not suffer from any 'memory effect' as other types often do.

IP68 for those that don't know, allow this two way radio to be submerged in water for up to four hours and at two metres deep without any problems.

The HT782m is easy to use, there is no LCD or OLED screen on this model but its simple to use just the same. The keypad is a reduced style keypad. As you can see there is a red personal attack button that can notify others in that situation.

Note that the handset is NOT intrinsically safe.

While this radio is low cost, it has many features that make it a very reliable 2 way radio or walkie talkie. It has 16 channels and as stated you need a license to use this radio - although we can help you with that if necessary and they are low cost.
