Entel HT783 Marine Two Way Radio

The Entel HT783 m is UHF licensed 2 way radio that is submersible and waterproof. It is designed for marine use and is built to IP68 standards, although it is really an entry level handset.

The HT783m is similar to the HT782 but includes an LCD screen. There are a number of  other models in this HT700 series and all are developed with specific features for marine communications. The HT783m is IP68 standard that means that the radio can be submerged in water for up to two metres depth for up to four hours without damaging the unit.

The HT783m has 255 channels and has VOX transmit and scan/priority scan features as standard built right in to the radio.

The LCD display helps users to see exactly things like signal strength, battery level remaining as well as the receiving signal strength which might be important in some circumstance.

The whole series of Entel 2 way radios feature intelligent battery management that automatically can monitor the battery to ensure longevity and full charge.

The battery itself is Li-ion type and 7.4 volt 2000mAh Lithium Ion unit that does not suffer from any 'memory effect' as other types often do. This is a tried and trusted battery that can deliver long use from a full charge.

The HT782m is an easy to use device and the LCD screen certainly helps. The keypad is a small 3 button configuration and there is a red personal attack button that can notify others if necessary..
