Hytera HP6 Series Two Way Radio

The HP6 series of two-way radios from Hytera comprises of the professional HP605 and the HP685 handsets. They are available in VHF or UHF types and for the model are denoted by the V or U depending on the frequency. Once again like many wireless radios these are analogue and DMR digital and all models are licenced units in the UK.

The HP6 series are denoted as the 'next generation' digital radios by Hytera.

The series includes a lone worker and man down feature so they are useful for security or safety applications and they work quite well.

As is standard on digital radios the audio is always particularly crisp and clear without background noise which is often filtered out internally. There is an AI noise suppressor built right in to the radio.

Interestingly, Hytera use a new design philosophy that includes  a 'water porting design'. This feature is developed to push water out of the speaker area. And notice that the HP6 series is actually IP67 which can withstand a 2 metre drop on to the floor, As well as this its more resilient than say IP54 for example and is better at protecting against water and dust, various knocks and bangs.

Hytera have a MIL-STD-810-G military standard that helps protect the handset.

Battery life is extensive and the radio can operate for over 20 hours of use @ 5-5-90 standard so the remarkable battery life is hard to beat from many other brands.
