Hytera HP7 HP705 & HP785 Two Way Radios

The HP7 series two way radios from Hytera comprise of two models - the HP705 and the HP785. These are available in VHF and UHF standards but note that all these models are licenced two-way radios in the United Kingdom.

Described by Hytera as 'new technology' these are billed as a 'new experience and new future' wireless radio series. The reality is that while these are very good 2 way radios, they are not really 'the future' in the way they are described by a good marketing company. Having said that, these radios are up there with many other high end devices and they should be!

In many ways this HP series is similar to the HM series from Hytera and specifications all sound familiar between the two. There's 'enhanced coverage', longer battery life, louder and clearer audio, lighter design, higher lever of ruggedness (defined as IP68 which is an improvement over some Hytera radios) and many other features.

Ultimately the HP7 series offers some excellent features like lone worker, that IP68 level of resilience to water and dust (2 metres for up to 4 hours submersed), AI technology that reduces noise in the audio, a battery life of up to 26 hours! on high power transmit @ 5/5/90 duty cycle and much more.

Once you remove the marketing, the HP7 IS actually a very useful wireless radio suited to many different sectors, whether security, safety, retailing, marine(to some extent), and other business types it can hardly fail to sell.
