Hytera PD405L Digital Two Way Radio

The PD405 from Hytera is classed as a business digital DMR two way radio, and its available in a VHF format or UHF format. It supports both DMR digital and analogue modes of operation too. Useful for migration from analogue to digital.

This 2 way radio does not have a display and is suitable for customers that might have the radio inside clothing for example. There is an emergency alarm feature on the handset but if you are looking for lone worker man down then this is not really the best suited device.

There are 16 channels featuring three zones and this is a simple handset to use.

The wireless two-way radio is made to MIL-STD specification /D/E/F/G and the IP rating is IP55 on this PD405. The radio is protected against water being sprayed on to the radio for around 55 minutes at 14 lbs./square inch. This handset is NOT submersible - look for Entel for that feature.

In digital DMR mode the audio of the PD405L is substantially improved over analogue.

Basic pseudo Trunking and encryption is available on the radio but by buying an additional chargeable licence for that ability is necessary.

As a general use 2 way radio or walkie talkie for business this is robust enough to stand the knocks and has that water resistance along with dust protection.

The battery is a Li-ion type and does not suffer from memory effect. And expect a long battery life from this radio - around .16 hours of use in the digital mode with a 5-5-9 cycle that easily will cover shift and working day periods.

There is also a one touch call/text message facility built right in to the handset.
