Hytera's PD485 two way radio is similar to the PD405 also available from us, but it has a display whereas the PD405 does not. Other features on the PD485 include VHF or UHF operation, analogue or digital DMR modes, it's a licensed handset in the UK and it makes for a useful analogue to digital migration solution. The PD485 is a general use business radio.

The radio can also connect to analogue or digital use. The radio can monitor either mode and connect when it picks up communication.

While there is an optional encryption ability it requires a licence to do that on this model.

There are up to 256 channels depending on the setup of this PD485 handset. And there is a digital voice call feature and pre programmed text messaging included.

In respects of IP this radio is IP55 and MIL-STD specifications the same as the PD405.

There is a Bluetooth feature built in to the handset that allows other BT products to communicate.
