Kenwood NX-1700/1800 Two Way Radios

Kenwood has a mobile two way radio transceiver series called the NX-1700H and NX-1800H that is VHF or UHF operation in analogue, DMR digital or NXDN and FM analog modes of operation. .NX-1700/1800 available now.

This series are a very rugged and robust radio designed for applications generally in vehicles and as such they can withstand temperatures well.

It is possible to upgrade the unit by software only as the hardware is already standardised for all specifications that the unit can support. There are a maximum of 260 channels per radio, and 128 zones. It's possible to have up to 250 channels per zone.

These mobile radios in the series support lone worker features so operator safety is covered while in the vehicle. A horn alert and PA feature allows to notify others in case of problems.

Models all have a display for easy operational use that is a white backlit LCD display and can be read in most circumstances. As well as this there is a 7 colour LED indicator that can display a number of different status notifications as they happen.

GPS connectivity is included and always a useful feature.

These mobiles are protected to IP54 and made to a MIL-STD 810/C/D/E/F/G that is typical these days for modern radios.

A really important feature relates to the audio and Kenwood are well known for quality audio. Output is 6W very loud audio and can be controlled through an audio profile The profile can control audio through equalizer, a TX/RX gain, and lastly the type of microphone in use. Overall really excellent audio quality.
