Kenwood TK-3701D Two Way Radio

Kenwood's TK-3701D Protalk Radio is a UHF digital transceiver handheld device that supports digital licence free (dPMR446) and analogue (PMR446) communications.

As supplied everything is included and you don't even need a licence to operate it here in the UK.

The TK-3701D includes the latest technology from Kenwood built right in to the radio. Features like dPMR446 with 48 preset channels comprising of 32 digital and 16 analogue split to 3 zones - 2 digital and one analogue are likely enough for most regular business customers.

The TK-3701D is well suited to business and industrial use (NOT ATEX or IS intrinsicaly safe) and is created up to IP54/55 and has the MIL-STD conformity for robust build quality.

Like most Kenwood two way radios and walkie talkies the TK-3501D is no exception with a very natural but powerful sound output. In fact the device includes AMBE+2 Vocoder that has very minimal delay and BTL audio amp featuring a 1 Watt output to the speaker. Digital audio is always crystal clear and of the highest quality that can be achieved and it won't disappoint.

It is possible to configure one of the two PTT buttons that allows the use of the main channel plus another channel so that different staff may use the 'alternate' channel accordingly. Very clever!

The LED shown on the top of the handset has a number of colours (up to 7) that can indicate multi-status functions including power on and even different unit identifications.

With digital technology, the quality of the audio and transmission and reception is vastly improved as already stated. Digital technology can improve reception in fringe areas and can improve by up to 20% compared with analogue.

There is a high capacity battery available optionally that can deliver long hours of operation compared to many other handsets.
