Motorola EVX-S24 Two Way Radio

The EVX-S24 from Motorola is a portable small lightweight handset that is digital and analogue radio that is compact and discreet but lightweight and perfect for business use. Features include digital technology, and importantly this two way radio is waterproof submersible. This is a licenced radio that is UHF frequency. The output is 3W when used digitally but can be reduced if necessary. The unit is IP67 and waterproof to that IP level and interestingly has a two year warranty.

Channels are 256 in 16 groups, and there are 4 programmable buttons available.

There is a lone worker feature and emergency alert but there is no 'man down' specific feature.

The EVX-S24 has a display that can support up to eight characters on the screen. Other features that can extend the life of usability include a battery saver and there is a battery indicator to show levels remaining. The included battery is a PMNN4468 that is 2300mAh Li-ion battery. There are a number of battery chargers including a multi-charger if you use a number of radios. Battery life typically @ 5-5-90 duty with the battery saver is 12 hours at 3W on digital and 11 hours at 2W for analogue use.

Because this is a digital transceiver from Motorola, the digital features are quite extensive and include a direct mode, TX interrupt, site search, message control and privacy, text messaging, all group and private call, basic and enhanced privacy, radio check, radio stun/revive, remote monitor, call alert, call history, emergency and many more features.

To differentiate one wireless radio from another the EVX-S24 is available in either black as shown, or a bright yellow version. The yellow version has to be special order from Radio Shopper.
