Motorola XT185 Twin Pack Radios

The Motorola XT185 walkie talkies twin pack offers a cost effective communication solution for general use and is suitable for small business use as well as for leisure purposes. The XT185 is a licence free handset also known as a PMR446 radio so it can be used immediately when you receive it without the hassle of licensing from OFCOM.

Great for warehouse use, throughout the office, on the shop floor or even at school in the playground, the XT185 two-way radio can deliver clear and instant communications for most circumstances where only a simple two way radio will suffice and cost is an important factor.

The XT185 walkie talkie was developed for business where a general use radio would suffice. It's perfect for any situation where users need to stay in contact with other staff members or team leaders for example, but cost constraints need a low cost solution that is simple yet affordable.

The battery as supplied can last from a full charge approximately up to 24 hours if used with care and is a Li-ion type.

The XT185 has a power output of 0.5W as specified in the PMR446 rules but is perfectly adequate for the purposes of use as designed. Two radios in this set are in the box with everything you need to operate and use immediately following a charge.

The radio is IP54 which is water and dust resistant but note any in depth submersion might compromise the radio handset somewhat. We do sell and support other similar radios that can improve on the water resistance for example but those in general have a higher cost.

The audio is 500mW output at 16 ohms so is suitable for general use. These are of course analogue radios and do not support digital radio operation, but for the use as intended they are good value for the cost
